Bilaspur’s education mafia exposed ? Fee scam and mismanagement: NSUI raised questions on Tagore College of Management and demanded a high level investigation from the collector.
Bilaspur. NSUI state secretary Ranjesh Singh has demanded an inquiry, levelling serious allegations of irregularities and corruption prevailing in Tagore College of Management, Sakri Bilaspur. Expressing concern over the commercialization of education in the district, Singh said that this college is not only running medical, management, and other higher education related courses, but is also conducting studies from class 1 to 12th, which violates many rules.
Ranjesh Singh alleges that many institutions are being run in the same building of Tagore College of Management, which is against the rules of CBSE. According to the rules, more than one institution cannot be operated in the same building. Apart from this, the institute also lacks adequate and qualified teaching staff. It is alleged that students are being given dummy admission, where more fees and donations are taken from the students, while most of the students are doing coaching in other states.
The NSUI secretary also says that more fees are being charged in violation of CBSE rules in studies from class 1 to 12th. There are indications of irregularities in the audit report as well. The teaching staff has not been trained as per the rules and they are being paid in cash instead of cheques. It is alleged that the staff is paid less salary and made to sign for more amount.
Ranjesh Singh has also raised questions on the general course, pharmacy, and para-medical course being run by the college. He claims that these courses are recognized by different universities, but are being run against the rules.
Ranjesh Singh has demanded strict action from the administration by conducting a detailed investigation of Tagore College of Management, so that transparency and compliance of rules can be ensured in the education system in the district.
